Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for PRN/Per Diem coverage. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures, manage invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and work with a collaborative care team to provide evidence-based therapy across care settings.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Certificate Program in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials required.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• NRP must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status through focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency.
• Deliver oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments.
• Manage ventilation and airway support including invasive and noninvasive ventilation.
• Educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and assist in newborn stabilization when needed.
• Ensure equipment readiness, infection prevention, and safe transport of ventilated patients.
