Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital in Joliet, IL is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II for the Nights shift in a Full Time position within the Respiratory Department. The RCP II will perform respiratory therapies and pulmonary diagnostics under the medical director and cardiopulmonary director, with emphasis on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care. Potential lead responsibilities may arise during the shift.

Qualifications

• Active State RCP license required.
• NBRC RRT or eligible within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification at hire and maintained.
• PALS certification at hire and maintained or obtained within 60 days.
• NRP certification at hire and maintained or obtained within 60 days.
• Associate degree or BS degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Focus on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care.
• May be designated Lead RCP and oversee the section/department during shift.

Education

State RCP license

NBRC Registered or eligible within 3 months

BLS certification

ACLS certification

PALS certification

NRP certification

Associate or Bachelor degree preferred

2 years acute care experience preferred
