Job summary

Prime Healthcare St Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL, is hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner II for the night shift (7p–7:30a). The role includes performing respiratory therapy and pulmonary diagnostics with emphasis on assessment, planning, and documentation for all patient ages.

Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits. Requirements: active RCP license in Illinois, NBRC RRT or eligibility, BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, NRP; degree preferred; 2 years acute

Qualifications

• Current State RCP license required.
• NBRC RRT certification or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained.
• PALS certification from AHA or ARC upon hire and maintained or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate upon hire and maintained or obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction and authorization of the medical director and cardiopulmonary director or manager, the Respiratory Care Practitioner II (RCP II) performs respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered.
• Focus on assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care with population-specific needs.
• May be designated Lead RCP and oversee the section or department during the shift.
