Qualifications

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current NBRC RRT certification or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• BLS certification from AHA/ARC on hire and current.
• ACLS certification on hire and current.
• PALS certification on hire and current or within 60 days of hire.
• NRP certification on hire and current or within 60 days of hire.
• Associate or BS degree in respiratory care preferred.
• Two years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Focus on assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care with patient age/population considerations.
• May be Lead RCP with responsibility for the section/department during shift.
