Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a part-time, dayshift PRN role. The position involves managing oxygen delivery, ventilator support, and related therapies in a hospital setting across various patient care areas.

Responsibilities include assessing therapies, documenting results, and communicating with the care team. Eligibility requires NBRC‑registered credentials, active state license, and BLS; advanced certifications vary by department.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge in oxygen delivery modes and equipment and conducts prescribed therapies to achieve adequate oxygenation.
• Administers and explains therapeutic procedures; performs diagnostic procedures per policy.
• Initiates and manages mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Evaluates current therapies and makes recommendations on care plans and patient education.
• Documents therapy results and communicates with healthcare team.
