Job summary

Medical City Arlington is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to guide patients through routine and critical care. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilation, and partner with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Required qualifications include NBRC-RRT, RRT/RCP-State license, ACLS, neonatal resuscitation, and an Associate Degree. 2+ years of RRT experience preferred; scheduling is consistent and supportive of professional growth.

Qualifications

• BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonatal Resuscitation must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• NBRC-RRT must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• RRT/RCP-State license must be obtained
• Associate Degree required
• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• 2+ years RRT experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status with focused exams and airway patency evaluation.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosolized meds, airway clearance, and treatments across care settings.
• Manage ventilation and airway interventions, monitor responses, and respond to emergencies.
• Educate patients and families, act as clinical resource, collaborate with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain and disinfect equipment, ensure readiness and safety of respiratory devices.
