Medical City Plano seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) PRN to guide patients through routine and critical care. You’ll perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilation and airway support, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to stabilize patients as needed.

Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT certification required.
• RRT/RCP-State license or equivalent.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of start date.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start date.
• PALS certification within 6 months of start date.
• Certificate relevant to respiratory care.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in respiratory care or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assessing respiratory status and determining need for interventions.
• Delivering oxygen therapy, aerosolized meds, airway clearance and other treatments.
• Managing ventilation and airway support across care settings.
• Educating patients and families and collaborating with care team.
• Maintaining and sterilizing equipment; ensuring safety and infection control.
