Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support patients through routine and critical care. You will guide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage invasive and noninvasive ventilation, and work with a collaborative team to deliver high-quality patient care.

You will perform ventilatory support and airway management across emergency, critical care and acute settings, while educating patients and families and upholding infection-control standards.

Qualifications

• RRT/RCP-State Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner qualification.
• Certificate or licensure as Respiratory Therapist.
• NBRC-RRT or PFT credential required.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status via focused exams, breath sounds, airway patency and determine need for interventions.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy: oxygen, aerosols, airway clearance techniques and related treatments in ER, ICU and acute care.
• Manage ventilation and airways: assist with invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitor responses, respond to changes or emergencies.
• Educate patients and families, act as clinical resource, collaborate with physicians and nurses, assist with newborn stabilization when needed.
• Maintain equipment and safety: set up, operate, clean equipment, ensure readiness and preventive maintenance; transport ventilated patients safely.
