Job summary

McLaren Port Huron is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care across emergency, ICU, and therapeutic settings. The role includes monitoring equipment, developing treatment plans with physicians, and educating patients.

Night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) with full-time hours are available to support 24/7 patient care. Requirements include an Associate degree (CAAHEP-accredited), current state licensure, NBRC RRT, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAAHEP-accredited respiratory therapist program.
• Current state licensure as a respiratory therapist.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through NBRC is required.
• BLS certification is required/or current.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Interview, examine and assess patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Consult with physicians to develop patient treatment plans and create therapy programs.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and blood gas analysis.
• Provide therapy including chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications and non-invasive methods (CPAP/BIPAP).
• Monitor and document progress of treatment.
