Job summary

Trinity Health Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, MI is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide individualized respiratory care for patients of all ages during the 12-hour night shift. You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary health care team to improve patient outcomes and participate in teaching within the Respiratory Care department.

Requirements include completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program, NBRC RRT, current Michigan licensure, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC is required.
• Current Michigan licensure to practice as Respiratory Therapist.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association is required.
• NRP and ACLS certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Previous work experience as a Respiratory Therapist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized respiratory care across age groups.
• Collaborate with the health care team to coordinate services.
• Assist with staff and student training within the Respiratory Care department.
• Ensure accurate documentation and appropriate charges for patient encounters.
• Monitor equipment and escalate maintenance needs as required.
• Participate in ongoing education to maintain skills and competency.
