Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• NRP and Pediatric Advanced Life Support: must obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• 6+ months of pediatric/adult respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpretation.
• Provide ventilator support and oxygen therapy.
• Conduct PFTs and cardiopulmonary diagnostics.
• Manage chest physiotherapy, airway clearance, and bronchial hygiene.
• Maintain equipment and ensure infection control.
• Document patient assessments and care plans.
