Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Richardson, TX, seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to perform ABG, PFTs, and various ventilator therapies for adults and neonates. You will assess patients, adjust therapies, and collaborate with the medical team to ensure optimal care.

The ideal candidate holds NBRC RRT, Texas licensure, BLS/ACLS; NRP/PALS should be obtained within 12 months of hire. Night shift 12X3 with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Texas license to practice respiratory care in good standing.
• NBRC registry as Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
• Provide respiratory care: oxygen therapy, airway management, ventilator support.
• Assess patients and document treatment plans per hospital policy.
• Interpret CXR, ABG, and PFT data and respond to changes.
• Maintain and troubleshoot cardiopulmonary equipment and supplies.
• Support infection control, safety, and quality assurance initiatives.
