Job summary

Methodist Charlton Medical Center is seeking a full-time Night Registered Respiratory Therapist to join the team. The RRT will provide ABG, PFT, ventilator support, and oxygen therapy for adults and neonates, following department policies and physician orders. A $15K sign-on bonus is offered.

The role requires Texas licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, NBRC registration, and BLS/ACLS. New graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required at hire.
• Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner and NBRC registration required.
• NRP/PALs certifications must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• New graduates accepted

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapies including oxygen, humidity, aerosols, chest physiotherapy and ventilation support.
• Conduct ABG, PFT, ECG and other cardiopulmonary diagnostics and report results.
• Prepare treatment evaluations via patient assessment and chart review.
• Interpret CXRs, ABG and PFT data to guide patient care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ensure infection control.
