Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy on the night shift. You will consult with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy and act as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff.

Qualifications include a CoArc-approved respiratory care program, current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential. ACLS is preferred; physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs and other mobility tasks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• RRT credential NBRC; ER experience may require PALS.
• ACLS is preferred.
• Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling and crawling as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in respiratory therapy per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Serve as advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of CoArc-approved Respiratory Care program

Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license (state licensure)

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential NBRC

ACLS (preferred)
