Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy per physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and act as an advanced resource for the care team.

The role requires graduation from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, current state RCP licensure, and NBRC RRT credential. ACLS is preferred; PALS is required for ER; physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current state licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for ER.
• ACLS preferred.
• Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
