Job summary

Piedmont Newton Hospital in Covington, GA is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our neonatal and labor-and-delivery teams. The role involves patient assessments, respiratory care procedures, blood gas analysis, and family education, in both adult and neonatal settings.

Required are an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, state licensure, and certifications (RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS). Sign-on bonus available and opportunities for growth within Piedmont Healthcare.

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
