Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to perform comprehensive respiratory care for both adult and neonatal patients, including newborns in Labor and Delivery. The role includes blood gas analysis, equipment maintenance, and patient and family education.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, with required licensure and certifications such as RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS on hire. Prior neonatal care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• Neonatal respiratory care experience or validated orientation is required.
• RRT certification and state licensure required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs general and neonatal respiratory care procedures, blood gas analysis, and patient education.
• Maintains and manages equipment and provides family education.
• Works with adult and neonatal patients, including Labor and Delivery newborn care.

Responsibilities

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level required.

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required
