Job summary

Piedmont Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for full-time day shifts. The role includes neonatal and general respiratory care, patient assessments, and education for patients and families.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, a current RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications, with experience in neonatal care and a commitment to high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required.
• Experience in neonatal respiratory care or completion of orientation with skills validation required.
• Licenses/certifications required: RRT, BCLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient assessments and general and critical care respiratory procedures.
• Provides respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery.
• Performs blood gas analysis and interpretation.
• Maintains and manages respiratory care equipment.
• Educates patients and families about respiratory care.

Responsibilities

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications

Education

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences Required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLs Upon Hire Required and
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
