Job summary

Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to perform patient assessments and respiratory care procedures, including care for newborns in Labor and Delivery. The role covers equipment maintenance and education for patients and families.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences, RRT and BCLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications, with neonatal experience or department orientation; sign-on bonus available.

Responsibilities:

Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.

Qualifications:

Education

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences required

Work Experience

• Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level required.

Licenses and Certifications

• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical Examiners Upon Hire Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• ACLS Upon Hire Required
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Upon Hire
