UofL Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join the respiratory care team at our Louisville facility. The role requires working knowledge of respiratory care with age-specific competence across all patient groups.

The RRT will contribute to department productivity while maintaining licensure scope and professional conduct. The position requires an active KBRC license, NBRC RRT credential (new grads have 6 months), BLS and ACLS, and an associate degree in Cardiopulmonary

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in Cardiopulmonary Services or Respiratory Care is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cardiopulmonary Services or Respiratory Care is preferred.
• Active license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (KBRC) is required.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential is required; new graduates have 6 months to obtain it.

Aufgaben

• Plans and administers non-medicated aerosol and humidity therapy.
• Plans and administers oxygen therapy and related protocols.
• Administers aerosolized medication and specialty gas therapy.
• Performs airway management and incentive spirometry.
• Cleans and reprocesses respiratory therapy equipment.
• Performs bronchial hygiene and chest physiotherapy.
• CPR and manual ventilation during resuscitation and rapid response.
• Educates patients, families, staff, and physicians.
• Collects arterial blood samples for blood gas analysis.
• Operates ventilators and manages settings and weaning per protocols.
