Qualifications

• Associate degree in Cardiopulmonary Services or Respiratory Care from an accredited program (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Cardiopulmonary Services or Respiratory Care (preferred)
• Active license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (KBRC) (required)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) and current (required); ACLS/BSL required

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers non-medicated aerosol and humidity therapy
• Plans and administers oxygen therapy per protocol
• Plans and administers aerosolized medication and specialty gas therapy
• Operates mechanical ventilators and manages ventilator settings and weaning
• Performs airway management and chest physiotherapy
• Provides patient and family education and staff training
