Job summary

UofL Health in Louisville is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care across age groups. The role emphasizes airway management, oxygen therapy, and airway hygiene within a professional health care team.

The RRT will perform non-medicated therapies, arterial blood sampling as needed, and participate in education for patients and staff. Certification and BLS/ACLS are required, with new graduates welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Cardiopulmonary Services or Respiratory Care from an accredited program (required).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Cardiopulmonary Services or Respiratory Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers non-medicated aerosol and humidity therapy.
• Plans and administers oxygen therapy and implements related protocol.
• Plans and administers aerosolized medications and specialty gas therapy.
• Performs airway management; conducts incentive spirometry.
• Operates mechanical ventilators and manages ventilator settings and weaning per provider orders.
