Job summary

Mercy seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care in respiratory therapy under physician orders and to consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness. You will also serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing on respiratory care and perform duties as assigned.

Requirements include graduation from a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP licensure, and NBRC RRT credential; ER staff may require PALS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license per state requirements.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS is required for coworkers in the Emergency Room.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.
