Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Polysomnographic Tech to support our sleep center leadership in comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. You will perform polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, and engage in patient education.

The role requires at least 1 year of related experience, relevant licensing/certification (RPSGT/RST/SDS), and a commitment to continuing education. On-site position with Mercy Health facilities across the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of experience in neurophysiology or sleep disorders medicine is preferred.
• Certification/licensing requirements include RPSGT or RST or SDS credential depending on state practice.
• Strong documentation and testing procedure adherence are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and explain procedures; review medical data and select testing modalities.
• Document detailed technical reports to aid physicians in interpreting data.
• Administer neurodiagnostic procedures following protocols and monitor test quality.
• Coordinate patient scheduling, collect payments, and assist with general office tasks.
• Maintain continuing education to stay current in neurodiagnostic field.
• Perform sleep staging and event scoring per AASM guidelines; assist with QA as needed.
• Troubleshoot polysomnographic and office equipment.
