Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Right of Way Document Specialist to manage ROW project documents, perform title reviews, and coordinate with ROW staff in Houston. The role requires attention to detail in securing accurate land descriptions and proper ownership identification.

The candidate will prepare acquisition documents, review title reports, and ensure all ROW files are current and well-organized, while complying with HSSE standards and assisting with GIS-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience with ROW documents preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient with Windows-based software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain custody of, review, and ensure accuracy of all ROW documents.
  • Conduct title reviews, drawing coordination, file preparation, title curative, and document processing, recording, and filing.
  • Apply knowledge of legal descriptions and title documents to assess land ownership and identify affected owners.
  • Ensure all ROW files are accurate, current, and organized.
  • Coordinate with ROW staff to ensure database administration activities and report preparation are completed as directed.
  • Process ROW documents, including title reports, ROW agreements, leases, and damage releases.
  • Prepare acquisition documents and conduct or acquire title searches.
