Job summary

American Tree Medics is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester (CUF) to patrol rights of way, assess hazards, and prescribe work for routine and special projects across California. The role focuses on safety, forest preservation, and effective coordination with utility partners and field crews.

You will travel as needed, collaborate with landowners, and use GPS handhelds for data entry and mapping. ISA certification is preferred, a California driver license is required, and lodging provided for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of arboriculture experience.
• Must have a valid California driver's license with clean DMV record.
• Ability to work independently and travel as needed.
• Experience driving 4x4 vehicles in rough terrain.

Responsibilities

• Inspect right of way and utility infrastructure with major utilities.
• Communicate with landowners about work on their property.
• Navigate varied habitats and terrains safely.
