Job summary

Loudoun County Parks, Recreation & Community Services (PRCS) is hiring a regular full-time After-School Roving Supervisor for the CASA and YAS programs in Leesburg, VA. The role supports planning and supervision of after-school activities for elementary and middle school youth, oversees staff, and helps ensure safe, fun, and compliant programming.

A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a child-related field such as Elementary Education, Nursing, or Recreation.
• Must undergo pre-employment, criminal, fingerprinting, and CPS background checks.
• First Aid/CPR certifications prior to hire or within 30 days of hire.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recreational programs for children by ensuring child safety, promoting positive connections with children, site management, ordering supplies, implementing goals, ensuring compliance with licensing regulations, training and supervising staff performance, and conflict resolution.
• Develop plans and facilitate activities, group games, and reading time following the curriculum and the needs of the children.
• Provide a welcoming and safe environment for children and perform daily health checks, handle food service items, and follow emergency procedures.
• May carry out additional critical job responsibilities pertinent to the specific role and departmental assignment.
