Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Routing Supervisor to manage daily outbound shipments, optimize route scheduling, and drive efficiencies across distribution centers. You will analyze routes, support projects to reduce miles, and improve on-time delivery while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

You will lead routers, collaborate with sales and warehouse teams, and pursue cost-effective solutions. A strong command of routing software, GPS systems, and MS Office is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; four-year college degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in transportation/operations supervisory role and 3 years of routing experience with 1 year in high-volume cases shipped environment.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) and routing software.

Responsibilities

• Manage administration of daily outbound shipments to customers and distribution centers.
• Ensure routes are scheduled and sequenced in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner.
• Analyze routes to improve delivery reliability and drive cost savings; support routing projects to reduce miles and optimize depots.
• Lead routing meetings with sales leadership to optimize delivery time windows and route optimization.
• Coach and develop routers, ensure adherence to company policies, and act as change agent for department.
