Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Routing Analyst in Portland, OR. The role supports regional routing, driver allocations, and vehicle scheduling within a fast-growing, publicly traded company.

Responsibilities include optimizing routes, coordinating with warehouse and dispatch teams, and ensuring cost-effective asset utilization. Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• 2–4 years routing experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of Roadnet Transportation Suite preferred.
• Familiar with transportation safety guidelines and DOT routing procedures.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to drive positive change.

Responsibilities

• Conducts continuous analysis of route, vehicle and driver assignments and reviews scheduling for possible consolidation or improvements.
• Assists with planning and implementing vehicle scheduling, resource allocation, routing, dispatching, and communication to optimize asset utilization.
• Develops route and stop logic and ensure customer service levels are at or above company expectations.
• Interface with warehouse operations to ensure best practice truck loading logic is always in place using Roadnet software.
• Allocates equipment and driver resources for scheduled and unscheduled deliveries, pickups, and other assignments.
• Collaborates with Fleet Team to match vehicles with delivery and customer requirements.
• Collaborates with Dispatch team for off days and vacation coverage.
• Reviews routing procedures, provides guidance, analyzes costs, and executes cost-control measures.
• Communicates load requisites, route sequencing, and schedules with Night Warehouse Management Team.
• Performs daily maintenance of routing data and incorporates real-time driver/sales feedback to optimize routing performance.
