Job summary

The Chefs’ Warehouse is seeking a Transportation Routing Specialist to support regional routing networks across our largest operating region. This role focuses on scheduling, driver assignments, and efficient use of assets to enhance service levels.

You will work with warehouse and dispatch teams to optimize routes, improve load planning, and ensure timely deliveries. Candidates should have routing experience and familiarity with Roadnet Transportation Suite and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• College degree preferred.
• 2-4 years routing experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of Roadnet Transportation Suite preferred.
• Basic understanding of transportation safety guidelines and DOT procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conducts continuous analysis of route, vehicle and driver assignments.
• Assists with planning and implementing vehicle scheduling, routing, dispatching, and communication functions.
• Develops route and stop logic to ensure customer service levels.
• Interfaces with warehouse operations to optimize truck loading logic.
• Allocates equipment and driver resources for scheduled deliveries and pickups.
• Collaborates with Fleet Team to match vehicles with delivery requirements.
• Reviews routing procedures and analyzes costs to recommend improvements.
• Communicates load requisites and schedules with the Night Warehouse Management Team.
