Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Logistics Analyst to coordinate drivers, routes, and assets to maximize efficiency and on-time service. The role requires strong analytical abilities, clear communication, and hands-on routing analysis.

You will monitor daily routing, respond to same-day changes, ensure safety, and drive improvements across dispatch operations while focusing on customer experience and productivity.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior experience working in a Dispatcher or similar leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all required safety policies and procedures.
• Analyze daily route information and implement changes to daily routing for efficiency.
• Use routing system visibility to respond to same-day changes and plan next-day needs.
• Ensure all routes are closed on time by verifying data accuracy.
• Evaluate and resolve problems with trucks and drivers in transit.
• Manage driver safety and security of company assets.
• Collect, interpret, and analyze logistics data to improve routing accuracy.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers and provide necessary information.
• Escalate driver performance issues for resolution.
• Understand route sequencing to drive efficiency.
• Respond to missed pickups by rescheduling and educating drivers.
• Create routes with maximized capacity and review loads per driver per day.
• Monitor routing activities and resolve issues to ensure on-time pickups/deliveries.
• Evaluate swing routes and trends to identify improvements.
• Adjust plans today and tomorrow as needed.
• Understand disposal plans to identify optimal sites and hold drivers accountable.
• Meet with Operations Manager to discuss disposal plans and changes.
• Determine if service requests can be pulled forward to improve efficiency.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
