Job summary

Carter’s Inc. in Braselton, GA, is seeking a hands-on Lead Routing & Dispatch Coordinator to support daily routing and dispatch, supervise staff, and serve as the main contact for drivers and carriers. This on-site role ensures accurate load planning, on-time deliveries, and real-time issue resolution.

You will assist the Supervisor, help with shift planning, coaching, and performance feedback, and uphold safety and process standards in a fast-paced distribution center.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in transportation, routing, dispatch, or distribution center operations.
• Lead or supervisory support experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact during the Supervisor’s absence and support routing operations.
• Assist with shift planning, workload distribution, and operational readiness to ensure coverage and service continuity.
• Provide day-to-day guidance, direction, and real-time support to Routing & Dispatch Administrators and associates.
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching of team members to reinforce performance expectations and best practices.
• Coordinate daily routing and dispatch activities to support efficient load planning and on-time delivery performance.
• Dispatch drivers and carriers, assign loads, and communicate schedules, updates, and changes throughout the operating day.
• Monitor route execution in real time and proactively adjust plans to mitigate delays, capacity constraints, or service disruptions.
• Prepare, review, and validate daily, weekly, and monthly transportation and operational reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve routing efficiencies, service performance, and cost control.
