Job summary

Young Electric Sign Company in St. George, Utah, is seeking a Router Operator - Vinyl Decorator to program routers, cut materials, and decorate sign faces with vinyl.

You will ensure accuracy against plans, minimize waste, and maintain equipment with routine maintenance in a busy production environment. The role requires basic electronics/tool operation experience and the ability to read specifications, perform basic math, and communicate effectively with team members.

Qualifications

• One year of demonstrated experience in electronics, power tool operation, or related areas.
• Ability to read interpret and apply specification documents, government coding information, safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to apply mathematical calculations regarding electrical requirements.
• Ability to move materials, equipment, and completed cutting projects.

Job Description: GENERAL PURPOSE

Under the supervision of the Production Manager, this person will cut various types of materials to create parts for sign assembly by programming and utilizing routers and cutters. This person will also be applying vinyl and doing face decoration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviews plans and diagrams to ensure accuracy of cutting of materials to create sign parts


• Plans, prepares and uses materials to be cut in a matter to keep waste to a minimum


• Programs router to cut materials consistent with specifications of job order


• Maintains an understanding of router programming requirements


• Operates router to accurately cut materials to job specifications


• Implements and maintains quality control and safety during material handling and router operation


• Racks and pallets materials


• Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs of routers, tables, vacuum system, and dust collectors


• Performs duties to ensure department meets expectations and deadlines


• Decorates sign faces with vinyl

MARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitors parts and materials inventory


• Moves materials and cut parts around the YESCO facility


• Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned

NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS

Interacts daily with employees and supervisors at YESCO facilities to discuss material cutting projects
