Job summary

Young Electric Sign Company (YESCO) in Utah is seeking a Router Operator - Vinyl Decorator to support sign fabrication. You will program routers, cut materials to precise specifications, and apply vinyl decorations to sign faces.

The role requires basic electronics or power tool experience, ability to read technical documents, handle materials, and maintain safety and quality during production. You will collaborate with production teams to meet deadlines and ensure accurate, high-quality signage.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in electronics, power tool operation, or related areas.
• Ability to read interpret and apply specification documents, government coding document information, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to apply mathematical calculations regarding electrical requirements.
• Ability to move materials, equipment, and completed cutting projects.
• Ability to effectively communicate.

Responsibilities

• Read plans and diagrams to ensure accuracy of cutting of materials to create sign parts.
• Program router to cut materials consistent with specifications of job order.
• Operate router to accurately cut materials to job specifications.
• Decorate sign faces with vinyl.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs of routers, tables, vacuum system, and dust collectors.
• Maintain quality control and safety during material handling and router operation.

This person will also be applying vinyl and doing face decoration.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Reviews plans and diagrams to ensure accuracy of cutting of materials to create sign partsPlans, prepares and uses materials to be cut in a matter to keep waste to a minimumPrograms router to cut materials consistent with specifications of job orderMaintains an understanding of router programming requirementsOperates router to accurately cut materials to job specificationsImplements and maintains quality control and safety during material handling and router operationRacks and pallets materialsPerforms preventative maintenance and minor repairs of routers, tables, vacuum system, and dust collectorsPerforms duties to ensure department meets expectations and deadlinesDecorates sign faces with vinylMARGINIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitors parts and materials inventoryMoves materials and cut parts around the YESCO facilityPerforms other functions as necessary or as assignedNATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:Interacts daily with employees and supervisors at YESCO facilities to discuss material cutting projectsTRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
