Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a Swing Driver to safely operate Front End, Roll Off, Residential and other trucks servicing customers on defined routes in Michigan. You will perform vehicle inspections, complete logs, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

The role requires a valid CDL, high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate. You will work on routes, train helpers if needed, and report incidents promptly.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• CDL required; valid CDL with appropriate class.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely operate trucks and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or more vehicle types and collect solid waste or recyclables on a route.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and daily route documentation.
• Report mechanical issues immediately to supervisor.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety compliance.
• Supervise assigned helper(s) when applicable.
• Attend safety and branch meetings.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
