Job summary

New System Laundry LLC seeks a Route Service Relief / Warehouse Support to cover routes and support warehouse operations in Boise, Idaho. You will deliver and pick up linens, verify quantities, and document route activity using company mobile tools.

Flexibility to switch between route and warehouse tasks is essential. Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license, ability to operate a box truck (no CDL required), strong organization, and solid communication with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

Route Service Representative Relief / Warehouse SupportCompany: New System LaundryDepartment: ServiceLocation: Boise, IdahoEmployment Status: Full-Time, NonexemptReports To: Service ManagerCompensation: $23.00 per hourPosition SummaryThe Route Support / Warehouse Support employee provides route coverage and warehouse support to ensure timely, accurate service to New System’s customers. This position delivers and picks up linens and supplies, responds to customer needs, and maintains an organized, clean, and safe warehouse.The employee must be dependable, customer-focused, and able to shift between route and warehouse responsibilities as operational needs change.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesRoute Relief and Customer ServiceCover assigned routes during employee absences, open routes, and periods of increased service needs.Safely operate a company box truck to deliver clean linens and supplies and pick up soiled products.Verify delivery and pickup quantities, complete service tickets, and obtain customer signatures.Provide professional, courteous customer service and communicate customer concerns or requests to Service leadership.Use company mobile tools to document deliveries, pickups, service updates, and route activity.Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report vehicle concerns.Follow company driving, accident reporting, product handling, and safety procedures.Load and unload products safely and secure loads appropriately.Warehouse OperationsReceive incoming products and verify quantities and condition against shipment documentation.Report shortages, discrepancies, and damaged products to the appropriate supervisor.Organize and store products in designated locations for efficient access and inventory accuracy.Pull, bundle, label, and stage products for assigned routes.Assist with loading and unloading company vehicles.Process returns, sort products, restock supplies, and assist with inventory counts.Maintain clean, orderly work areas, keeping aisles, exits, and loading areas clear.Follow established procedures for handling clean and soiled linens.Use warehouse equipment only as trained and authorized.Team Support and SafetyCommunicate product shortages, route needs, and operational issues promptly.Work cooperatively with CSRs, warehouse employees, and Service leadership.Follow company policies and required safety practices, including use of personal protective equipment.Perform other related duties as assigned.Required QualificationsValid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company requirements.Ability to learn to safely operate a company box truck; no CDL required for the assigned vehicle.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and accurately complete service documentation.Basic counting skills and attention to product quantities and delivery details.Ability to use basic mobile applications and company equipment.Strong organization, reliability, communication, and customer service skills.Ability to work independently and adjust to changing assignments.Successful completion of applicable preemployment background checks, motor vehicle record review, and drug screening.Preferred QualificationsExperience in route delivery, customer service, warehouse operations, or inventory handling.Experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles.Experience in linen rental, uniform service, or a related industry.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsThe essential functions of this position require the ability to:Repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing up to 50 pounds.Stand, walk, bend, reach, stoop, and climb into and out of a company vehicle throughout the workday.Load, unload, and move products using appropriate equipment and safe handling practices.Drive for portions of the workday and make frequent customer stops.Work in warehouse, loading dock, customer, and outdoor environments with varying temperatures and weather conditions.Handle clean and soiled linens while following established safety and hygiene procedures.
