Job summary

CITY Laundering Co in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Route Service Representative to deliver clean products, collect soiled items, and manage routes safely and efficiently. You will build strong customer relationships and support daily operations with your Route Supervisor and team.

This role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. The position requires driving, loading/unloading, and working early start times with a 60‑pound lifting limit.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license required.
• 1-2 years of job‑related and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Start time: 5:30 AM.
• Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Fill in for or assist on any of our 17 service routes as needed.
• Provide prompt, friendly, and effective customer service.
• Load and unload delivery trucks with clean and soiled laundry.
• Deliver products accurately and on time to customer locations.
• Maintain customer satisfaction and professional relationships.
• Manage route efficiency while following all safety standards.
• Communicate positively with customers, potential customers, and coworkers.
• Maintain strong product knowledge (pricing types, colors, sizing, inventory control, availability, and product application).
• Properly load trucks, including organization of invoices, paperwork, bags, and garments.
• Maintain account appearance (rails, hanger racks, repair bags, lockers).
• Communicate truck maintenance needs promptly (repairs, preventative maintenance, cleanliness, accidents).
• Drive a commercial motor vehicle for up to 10 hours per day.
• Lift up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis.
• Maintain hygienically clean standards through proper garment handling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
