Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking a Route Sales Specialist II in Lewiston, ME, to train new staff, manage orders, and drive sales across assigned routes.

The role requires flexibility for non-traditional hours and potential overnight travel, with emphasis on building retailer relationships and executing market programs. The RSS II will train new Route Sales Representatives (RSR) and Trainees, support ordering, sales, delivery, and merchandising of products, and work to maximize sales opportunities

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year related experience in retail sales, DSD sales, and/or business-to-business sales.

Responsibilities

• Leverage internal sales data and company marketing plans to drive growth with customers through proper planning, ordering, and execution.
• Operate company routes, and provide coverages of routes for RSRs time-off.
• Provide in-field training to new RSRs and RSTs on tasks in the Route Sales Operations Manual.
• Establish and maintain strong customer relations to communicate sales solutions and improve satisfaction.
• Order product using an online order planner to ensure freshest products are delivered.
