Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a Route Sales Representative to build strong customer relationships and drive route growth. You will safely operate a delivery vehicle, manage daily routes, and assist in acquiring new accounts while explaining services and pricing to customers.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, strong math and basic computer skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with long hours and varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.
• Customer service experience with a wide variety of customers.
• Strong math and basic computer skills.
• Experience selling services/products and generating new business preferred.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company step van to serve clients.
• Verify daily preventative maintenance of vehicle and maintain driver documentation.
• Manage daily route independently for timely delivery of products.
• Load/unload products per company policies and guidelines.
• Review invoices daily for accuracy and make corrections as needed.
• Meet sales goals and promote route growth to enhance profitability.
• Develop leads, call on prospects, prepare service agreements, and install new accounts; assist sales with new business procurement.
• Explain services, policies, and pricing to customers.
• Monitor customer feedback and address issues promptly and courteously.
• Prioritize personal safety and follow all safety practices and policies.
• Perform other duties as required within scope of activities.
