Job summary

T.G. Lee Dairy is seeking a dependable CDLB Route Relief Driver to provide relief and backup coverage for routes when drivers are unavailable. You will operate straight or pup trucks, maintain route knowledge, and ensure timely deliveries with strong customer service.

Duties include communicating with supervisors and peers, and adapting to route changes. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid Class B CDL with Air Brake, DOT/MVR compliance, and solid math and computer

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Up to 2 years of experience driving a straight truck or pup truck, within the last 5 years preferred.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Must meet DFA requirements for Motor Vehicle Records.
• Must meet all DOT requirements.
• Certification and/or License – valid Class B/Class B with Air Brake CDL.
• Knowledge of DOT procedures, rules, and requirements.
• Skill in proficient computer usage.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Skills with math for calculating load size and recording accurate volume/weight measurements.
• Able to contribute to the positive performance behaviors through personal example.
• Able to be proactive in seeking solutions, taking appropriate steps to solve problems.
• Able to work in collaboration effectively and foster good teamwork.
• Able to follow directions and meet deadlines.
• Customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a straight truck or pup truck to deliver products on schedule.
• Provide relief/backup support when drivers are on vacation or time off.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of routes and perform route rides as needed.
• Deliver to customers safely and in a timely manner.
• Communicate with peers and supervisors, ensuring high customer service standards.

May provide on-call relief, cover partial trips or fill in due to staffing needs. Demonstrate knowledge of multiple delivery routes and possess necessary qualifications and experience to drive class B vehicles per the relief driving assignment. Keep up-to-date knowledge of routes, which may include going on route ride(s) to keep active knowledge. Operate a straight truck or pup truck to deliver products in a safe and timely manner to customers according to the delivery route schedule as determined by the supervisor. Demonstrate high standards of customer service. Communicate frequently with peers, supervisors, and others.

SCHEDULE:

• Monday to Friday - 3:00 am until complete

OUR CDL DRIVERS FOR THIS POSITION CAN MAKE UP TO:

• Average earnings are $1300 to $1600 per week
