Job summary

T.G. Lee Dairy is hiring dependable CDL-B delivery drivers to operate straight trucks and deliver products to customers on a set route schedule, upholding safety and high levels of customer service.

You’ll load and unload, perform daily vehicle inspections, complete paperwork, and maintain accurate route inventories while promoting products and resolving issues with customers. The schedule is early weekdays with home nightly hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class B CDL with Air Brake.
• Meets DFA and DOT requirements for MVR and rules.
• English reading, writing and speaking proficiency.
• Effective communication and math skills.
• Ability to operate a straight truck and perform loading/unloading.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CDL-B straight truck per DOT and DFA rules.
• Deliver products to customers following route schedule.
• Load/unload using hand truck, pallet jack; stock/rotate as routes vary.
• Maintain vehicle and perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Submit delivery tickets and paperwork daily.
• Provide merchandising support and promote new products.
• Communicate with customers and resolve issues.
• Maintain route inventory and document freight condition.
• Attend driver workshops and training sessions.
• Represent DFA professionally with customers.

Job description

T.G. Lee Dairy has immediate job openings for dependable CDL-B delivery truck drivers to operate a straight truck to deliver products in a safe and timely manner to customers according to the delivery route schedule, demonstrating high standards of customer service and communicating frequently with peers, supervisors, and others.

Job Duties

• Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations, and policies, adhering to all safety practices
• Deliver pre‑ordered or unscheduled products to customers (schools, grocery stores, nursing homes, etc.) according to route schedule and customer expectations, ensuring deliveries are placed inside coolers and walk‑ins as required
• Follow designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed; report delivery delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to management
• Load and unload product at stops using hook, 2‑wheel cart, and/or pallet jack; may include stocking, rotating, and/or ordering of product as routes vary
• Collect empty cases
• Provide merchandising support based on customer requirements and promote new products when appropriate
• Communicate effectively, maintain good relations with customers, resolve complaints, and report problems to supervisor or manager
• Perform proper vehicle and equipment maintenance (tires, fuel, oil, etc.) and keep the vehicle clean
• Secure loads before travel and at each stop, making adjustments as needed
• Complete all daily paperwork accurately: delivery tickets, pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, driver logs, trip records, and vehicle service reports
• Submit all customer paperwork and deposits daily, including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports
• Maintain sufficient route inventory levels while following account inventory control and company distribution procedures; document freight condition before departure
• Attend all driver workshops and training sessions
• Use company supported applications or systems properly
• Represent DFA positively and professionally at all times when interacting with customers or others
• Accept that additional duties may be assigned as required

Earnings

• $1,000.00 to $1,300.00 per week (on average)

Schedule

• Monday–Friday – 3 am start time until finish (approximately 10–12 hours per shift)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Up to 2 years of experience driving a straight truck or pup truck, within the last 5 years preferred
• Minimum age requirements met
• Meets DFA requirements for Motor Vehicle Records
• Meets all DOT requirements
• Valid Class B/Class B with Air Brake CDL
• Knowledge of DOT procedures, rules, and requirements
• Proficient computer usage skills

• Math skills for calculating load size and recording accurate volume/weight measurements
