Job summary

T.G. Lee Dairy is seeking a dependable CDLB Route Relief Driver to provide relief/backup support when drivers are on time off. (May provide on-call relief, cover partial trips or fill in due to staffing needs). Must know multiple routes and hold a valid Class B with Air Brake CDL.

Responsibilities include operating straight or pup trucks, delivering products safely and on time, and maintaining customer service standards. Effective communication with supervisors and peers is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class B CDL with Air Brake endorsement.
• DOT requirements and DFA MVRs met.
• English reading/writing proficiency.
• Ability to operate straight/pup trucks safely.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight/pup truck to deliver products per schedule.
• Maintain knowledge of delivery routes; may ride along to stay current.
• Provide backup coverage for drivers on vacation or time off.
• Maintain safety and high standards of customer service.
• Communicate regularly with peers and supervisors.

T.G. Lee Dairyhasimmediate job openings for dependable CDLB Route Relief Driver to provide relief/backup support for company when drivers are on vacation or other time off. May provide on-call relief, cover partial trips or fill in due to staffing needs. Demonstrate knowledge of multiple delivery routes and possess necessary qualifications and experience to drive class B vehicles per the relief driving assignment. Keep up-to-date knowledge of routes, which may include going on route ride(s) to keep active knowledge. Operate a straight truck or pup truck to deliver products in a safe and timely manner to customers according to the delivery route schedule as determined by the supervisor. Demonstrate high standards of customer service. Communicate frequently with peers, supervisors, and others.

SCHEDULE:

• Monday to Friday - 3:00 am until complete

• Average earnings are $1300 to $1600 per week

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Up to 2 years of experience driving a straight truck or pup truck, within the last 5 years preferred
• Must meet minimum age requirements
• Must meet DFA requirements for Motor Vehicle Records
• Must meet all DOT requirements
• Certification and/or License – valid Class B/Class B with Air Brake CDL
• Knowledge of DOT procedures, rules, and requirements
• Skill in proficient computer usage
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Skills with math for calculating load size and recording accurate volume/weight measurements
• Able to contribute to the positive performance behaviors through personal example
• Able to be proactive in seeking solutions, taking appropriate steps to solve problems
