Job summary

Durham School Services in Pomona, CA seeks a full-time dispatcher to produce and maintain routes, read routing documents, and coordinate with Dispatch to meet time and miles standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, dispatch experience preferred, and strong communication and multitasking skills to serve customers, parents and employees under pressure with professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dispatch experience preferred; bilingual abilities a plus.
• Ability to organize and prioritize time to balance customer care and routing.
• Strong communication skills in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain a master record of all routes and provide operating copies daily.
• Read and stay up to date with routing program documents (manuals, maps, updates).
• Produce cost efficient and timely routes and meet deadlines for scheduling.
• Coordinate with Dispatch to establish route standards for time and miles.
• Provide excellent customer service when working with customers, parents and employees.
• Maintain written records of routing problems daily and summary to General Manager weekly.
• Keep work area neat, professional, and maintain a professional appearance.
• Ability to work well under pressure and uphold ethical conduct.
• Other duties as assigned.
