Job summary

Kimble Recycling & Disposal, Inc. is seeking a Route Manager to oversee daily operations including personnel, production, safety and customer service.

The role emphasizes independent judgment in dispatch, route optimization, and compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company policies. Responsibilities include supervising CDL drivers, conducting site inspections, handling customer issues, and coordinating with the General Manager on contracts and budgets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
• 3+ years of prior management of people in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid CDL license with attached DOT Medical Card, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CDL drivers and supervise daily routes and safety protocols.
• Conduct field inspections and audits of site personnel for compliance.
• Address customer complaints promptly and coordinate with management.
• Partner with Marketing and General Manager on residential contracts and start-ups.
• Supervise dispatch team and allocate drivers as needed.
• Drive safety goals and ensure DOT/OSHA compliance.
• Manage staffing including hiring, evaluations, promotions, and terminations.
• Develop budgets and monitor driver productivity and costs.
• Lead training programs and employee development.
