Job summary

Burrtec Waste is seeking a Route Supervisor for its Barstow Hauling division. The role coordinates and directs drivers and field staff to ensure efficient route operations, safety, and timely completion of tasks.

Responsibilities include monitoring routes, evaluating manpower needs, and implementing improvements to route efficiency while training new drivers and maintaining compliance with DOT and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership, problem solving and organizational skills and ability to maintain and promote a team work environment.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to coach and develop subordinates.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills are required, and ability to effectively interface with general public.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct the activities of drivers, floaters, and lead men.
• Monitor workflow to ensure assigned tasks are completed.
• Assess daily manpower and distribute work accordingly.
• Ensure efficient route management by monitoring daily routes, weight slips and route sheets.
• Make recommendations to improve route efficiency.
• Maintain daily route knowledge and conduct field audits.
• Train new drivers/helpers on company Driver Training program, DOT drug and alcohol program and proper use of assigned equipment.
