Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc is seeking a hardworking Helper to support drivers on residential and commercial routes. You will load and unload containers, assist with maneuvers, and help maintain safety and efficiency on the job site.

Excellent communication and a team-oriented mindset are essential, as is the ability to work in varying weather. Pre-employment drug screening is required and training opportunities are available to grow with the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs constantly and work in variable weather conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and dedication to customer service.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Loads and empties residential and/or commercial containers into truck manually or mechanically.
• Maneuvers containers that are staged curbside, dockside, carryout, or require pullout to complete service.
• Operates hoisting device to lift and empty bins into truck hopper.
• Places serviced bins back in original position with covers on.
• Assists driver with backing maneuvers on route.
• Loads trash and recycling into a rear load truck in varying weather conditions.
• Lifts 50 pounds constantly and maintains stamina for the job.
• Maintains a safe working environment and professional communication with customers and coworkers.
• Participates in training and company programs to support safety, service, and company values.
