Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking a friendly Route Floater (Full-time) to load, transport, and deliver products to client locations. The role supports multiple routes as needed and requires maintaining product readiness and proper refrigeration.

The ideal candidate will be 21+, hold a valid driver’s license (CDL not required), pass the DOT Physical, and excel in customer interaction and time management. AVI offers competitive compensation and full-time benefits including health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.

Responsibilities

• Load and deliver products to client locations.
• Drive and service routes as needed.
• Fill in for service or delivery routes as required.
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested.
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers.
• Ensure refrigeration of all cold products in truck and at accounts.
• Oversee ordering of merchandise and manage inventory.
• Collect unsold or stale merchandise and money from machines.
• Provide courteous customer interactions with AVI team members.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Fill in for Service Routes or Delivery Routes as needed
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently
