Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is hiring a Route Floater in Wilmington, NC to support our delivery and service routes. The full-time position runs Tue-Sat, 6am-2:30pm, with responsibilities including loading, delivering, stocking accounts, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.

Ideal candidates have a valid driver's license (CDL not required), are comfortable with physical tasks, possess strong time management and customer service skills, and can work independently to ensure timely service and accurate inventory

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license (CDL not required).
• Ability to pass a DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Outgoing personality with product promotion skills.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicle with products for service locations.
• Deliver, load, and unload products to client sites.
• Stock shelves in vending machines or coolers.
• Maintain refrigeration of cold items in truck and at accounts.
• Manage inventory and collect unsold merchandise.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for a friendly and hard-working team member to fill the role of Route Floater, Full-time. This position is located in Wilmington, NC. The schedule for this position is Tuesday-Saturday, 6am-2:30pm.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Fill in for Service Routes or Delivery Routes as needed
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver’s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently
