Job summary

Bachman's Inc in Minnesota is seeking a Dispatcher (Union Position) to coordinate daily package delivery routes, pull packages, review runs, and act as the main contact for drivers and internal teams.

The role requires at least six months dispatching experience, reading and writing English, and the ability to train others. A Class B license and insurability are preferred; lifting up to 50–100 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months dispatching experience.
• Must be accepted as insurable with Bachman’s Insurance carrier considering a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and Bachman’s Safe Driving Standards.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Demonstrated ability to understand, communicate, and provide customer service to customers and other departments, including on the phone.
• Must be able to teach and train delivery personnel.
• Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis and up to 100lbs on an occasional basis.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily package delivery routes to establish run sheets. Help pullpackages for established routes.
• Review delivery runs in DDS and follow up as necessary.
• Work with fleet manager and maintenance team to coordinate preventative maintenance on package delivery vehicles.
• Work with fleet manager to coordinate Bachman and rental vehicles during peak periods.
• Provide work direction to Drivers.
• Be available as the main point of contact by answering phones and responding to emails. Provide excellent internal customer service.
• Perform other duties and assist in other areas as assigned.
• Attendance is an essential function of this position.
