Bachman’s Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher for a full-time union position in Minneapolis, MN. You will coordinate daily delivery routes, help pull packages for established runs, and review delivery schedules to ensure timely service.

You will supervise Drivers, respond to phones and emails, and work with fleet staff on vehicle maintenance and peak-period coverage. Benefits include Medical Insurance, HSA/PPO, Dental, Vision, Life/AD&D, Disability, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Class B license preferred.
• Must be accepted as insurable with Bachman’s Insurance carrier considering a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and Bachman’s Safe Driving Standards.
• Must have 6 months dispatching experience.
• Must have working knowledge of computer systems.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Demonstrated ability to understand, communicate, and provide customer service to customers and other departments, including on the phone.
• Must be able to teach and train delivery personnel.
• Must be able to move and/or lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis and up to 100lbs on an occasional basis.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Position Duties:

• Coordinate daily package delivery routes to establish run sheets. Help pullpackages for established routes.
• Review delivery runs in DDS and follow up as necessary.
• Work with fleet manager and maintenance team to coordinate preventative maintenance on package delivery vehicles.
• Work with fleet manager to coordinate Bachman and rental vehicles during peak periods.
• Provide work direction to Drivers.
• Be available as the main point of contact by answering phones and responding to emails. Provide excellent internal customer service.
• Perform other duties and assist in other areas as assigned.
• Attendance is an essential function of this position.
